Climate
Due to the Eifel’s favourable climatic condition it is not
only favoured by the city population.
The slightly stimulating climate of the medium altitudes (320-570
m), in which the Eifel-Camp is located, is felt positive.
The chemical pollution of the air is very minor, which makes the
Eifel to a typical resort with particularly good air.
In contrast to areas of less altitude the temperatures are mainly
pleasant and the air is less muggy and stale during the summer.
The mean annual temperatures are slightly lower than in the surrounding
area, which also has an effect on the flora: the flowering time of
fruit trees starts three to four weeks later, and the leaves’
changing of colour in autumn starts several weeks earlier.
